Through the Garden Gate Tours
T
hrough the Garden Gate is a walking tour of The Hermitage gardens led by Yolima Carr, Curator of Gardens and Grounds. This tour not only introduces guests to the variety of plants that have a home at the Hermitage, but provides a fascinating and in-depth look into the history and future of the gardens as well. Mrs. Sloane desired the gardens to be a continuation of her efforts from within the home, and Through the Garden Gate allows guests to see how the picturesque gardens at the Hermitage deserve to be called living art.
Guests may make reservations for a tour June 1 through August 31, tours taking place the second and fourth Saturday and alternating Mondays of each month.
The cost for Through the Garden Gate is $6 for non-members and $4 for members. Reservations are required and walkups are not accepted. Reservations will be taken until 5:00 p.m. the Wednesday before the scheduled tour.
