The best way to experience the Hermitage Museum & Gardens is to become a Museum member. Membership allows you to actively take part in all the exhibitions, events and programs the Hermitage offers throughout the year. Your support is also vital for the existence of the Museum and the twelve acres of Gardens and Grounds.

Admission for 2 adults and children under 18 years old living in the household

Contributing Members are a vital link in the long tradition of philanthropy and personal involvement started by the Sloanes at the Hermitage. Contributors make it possible for the Hermitage to expand its exhibition schedule and educational offerings.

‘Caprice’ was the name given to the Sloane Family yacht, used as a patrol boat during World War I. Florence Sloane hosted a number of exhibitions at the ‘Seaboard’ Airline Building in downtown Norfolk. The ‘Wainwright’ Building was constructed in 1929 with funds provided by William Sloane and is named after Florence Sloane’s mother.
